Bucket List Hotels to Stay in 2023

As an avid traveler, I am always looking to stay in unique places, curated by local artisans or dreamers who have made hosting an artform. Because lets get real, it’s 2023 and we romanticize our lives now. So bring out the boujee bed sheets and once in a lifetime experiences, because we are only here for the spaces that make us feel something. After thorough research, these are my bucket list hotels to stay in 2023.

Budget

This is for my babes who don’t have a lotta cash to burn. It is a β€œrecession” after all. All of these listing are under $250/night USD and depending on when you chose to go, bet you can find some cheaper airfare by using some of these tips. Check out my friends at Scott’s Cheap Flights for my favorite way to stay on top of finding cheap airfare.

El Rey Court

Sante Fe, New Mexico

Located in the heart of the community, this artists getaway in the American Southwest is something of a desert mirage. I absolutely love the aesthetic they have created here and their suggestions on what to do in the area. Here are some things to do in Santa Fe on their website! And then click here to book your stay at El Rey Court. Nights starting at $125/night.

Boutique

If you are like me, you don’t need extreme luxury of the Four Seasons but will pay a little extra for upgraded amenities, an aesthetic of the design, or a view. These Airbnbs are under $500 a night and best shared with a friend, your partner, or group of girls.

Riad Les Trois Palmiers

Marrakech, Morocco

After my stay in 2022, I am manifesting another Morocco trip. Between all the riads in the old medina, Riad Les Trois Palmiers one tops the list because of its outstanding service, staff, and amenities. It is located inside the El Bacha neighborhood which apparently is historically where the royal families would reside.

This boutique hotel also features a unique renovation story, the largest tiled bathtubs I have ever been in, and handcrafted art/tile work made by local artisans to keep the riad as close to original as possible. It is affordable and perfect for couples or a friends trip. Click here to read more about my stay at Riad Les Trois Palmiers.

TWA Hotel

New York City, New York

The TWA Hotel is a 1960’s inspired designed hotel just inside the JFK airport. If you are often in the NYC airports transferring to Europe or for business, this is the perfect place to stay for a late night or early morning departure. You can also access the renovated terminal for a cocktail on the rooftop overlooking the runway, a year round pool, or even a day pass into rooms for long layovers. It was just featured in one of my favorite shows, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Photo cred: Booking.com

Boujee

Every bone in my body is boujee and I think I was an Italian princess in a past life. Here are the castles, luxury rockstar crash pads, and dream homes that make you feel like an A lister.

Hotel San Cristobal

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

After seeing Hotel San Cristobal plastered on one of my favorite luxury travel influencers, I immediately added this hotel to my bucket list. Cabo is super close to world class diving with whale sharks, which is topping my bucket list at the moment. Photo cred: Booking.com

El Cosmico
