Urban Cowboy

Photos by me and @urbancowboyhotels

Urban Cowboy... my absolute favorite hotel of all time possibly. Between the vintage clawfoot tubs, handmade wallpaper that covers the walls and ceilings, the tall victorian ceilings and window, the BEDS... there is just no comparison to their vibe and hospitality. This quote from their website describes them best, "It is a special place, an oasis for travelers, dreamers and romantics. We believe in the magic of human connection and the transformative power of design."

As soon as you check in, you receive a complimentary bourbon or wine from their Parlor Bar. After checking in to one of their unique suites, draw yourself a bath or hit their backyard bar, Public House. They serve up an amazing old fashioned and NYC-native, Robertas, pizza. The Graduate

Known as the pink, Dolly Parton hotel, this 5 star boutique hotel is perfect for any country western lovers or girls weekend. I recently got to stay here during a mother daughter weekend this summer and boy was it way cooler than I thought it would be. Usually I am not the girly girl and even though it's got the bachelorette reputation in town, it was perfect for my family's weekend visit.

Union Station

In a beautifully restored old train station, Union Station is reopen after reno! It is the perfect blend of historical Nashville and modern luxury. As you walk in, you are greeted by the most stunning, two story lobby. I am a sucker for a rejuvenated local gem that will continue to live on as one of the best hotels in town.

The Gallatin

Photos from me and @thegallatinhotel

I was lucky enough to be one of the first guests of the Gallatin Nashville! Opened Summer 2021, this fresh space is perfect for the budget, boutique solo or group traveler who loves color. There are king beds, BUNK rooms, and 150 square ft "cozies" (like hostel rooms for our ballers on a budget)! Other common living spaces to spread out outside of the smaller rooms including a court yard, common glam room, and ensuite options. This is how to you do Nashville for less $$. Most impressive though is their mission to give back to the community of Nashville. Part of your proceeds aren't going to some corporate bullshit factory. It goes back into homeless charities and other nonprofits to fight poverty.

The Russell

The Russell is from the same friends who brought us the Gallatin hotel! This boutique banger is in an old renovated church in East Nashville. The HUGE stained glass windows, church pew headboards, and handpainted Nashville inspired decor speaks to my unique space lover heart. I've never stayed somewhere that has this kinda energy and its infectious. Some other features that make it super special are the conciergeless check in, photo booth, coffee bars, and RECORDING STUDIO, all while giving back to the homeless community with every stay!

Noelle

You cannot say no to the Noelle! On their site, they call this the hotel for adventurers seeking a true Nashville encounter. The rooms are classy and sleek with white walls and velvet head boards. I frequently spend some mornings chilin in their lobby, which is just the most glamorous, 1920's architectural tribute, just to be a part of their space. It also is home to Drug Store Coffee, their fab rooftop bar, Rare Bird, and a speakeasy in the basement. Fly on over to this link for more info, old sport.

Photo Cred: The Dive Motel

From the same people owners as the Urban Cowboy, their second brain child is just as creative and gets down to funky town. I am a sucker for a retro 70's rock n' roll motel theme. Something about think about the sins that one commits in a hotel room with a disco ball and radio control that says sex, drugs, and rock n' roll. We stayed at the Dive in 2020 during a staycation (ask for the locals discount y'all). Every suite is decorated differently but the consistent theme is shag carpet, wood paneling, and disco balls. Their bar is awesome and they offer day pool passes for non guests as well ($15 Monday-Thursday and $20 Friday-Sunday).

Thompson Nashville

Photos from @thompsonnashville

Located in one of the hottest neighborhoods, the Gulch, the Thompson is another top hotel near downtown Nashville. Their rooms have large windows with insane views, luxury bathtubs, and the most fire vibes I have seen in a hotel in a long time. I especially love their lobby's yellow velvet benches and rooftop bar, LA Jackson. It is actually my favorite rooftop bar in town for their espresso martinis and people watching (click here for a full list of Nashville rooftops off Broadway).  Check out more details here!

Fairlane

Picture Mad Men meets the South. The midcentury modern furniture and soaring ceilings scream Don Draper makes the Fairlane sexyyyyy. Even GQ called it “THE MOST ELECTRIC SPOT IN THE SOUTH.” Make sure to check out their rooftop bar and restaurant, Ellington’s. They also have a bagel shop in the lobby, a rooftop penthouse that is being used as additional bar space for seasonal pop ups, and gym facilities. I stayed here for a little staycation this summer and was super impressed! Click here to book!

Virgin

Photos from @virginhotelsnsh

I am in love with the Virgin Hotel for so many reasons. Like their Midtown location (like seriously prime spot), over the top views from their rooftop Pool Club, and their monthly events to name a few. I am looking forward to more pool side cocktails and a future staycation here!

Honorable mentions for the best hotels in Nashville include: the Joseph (a little more luxury), Hutton Hotel (great rooftop pool), Vandyke Bed and Breakfast, the Bobby, the Dream, and 21C Nashville (for the views of downtown).

Most of these spots offer staycation rates to locals with proof of residency (like a drivers license). Make sure to stay tuned on TikTok and Instagram as I continue my way through the newest and best Nashville has to offer! And have the best time booking with this guide to the 10 best hotels in Nashville, TN!
